TransVoice Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the TransVoice iOS app, the official website, and related support pages.

1. Overview

TransVoice is designed as a local-first speech transcription, translation, and organization tool. It builds its core workflow on Apple's official Speech framework, Apple's official Translation framework, and on-device Core ML model resources. Unless you choose to export or share content, or contact us directly by email, your recordings, imported media, transcripts, and exports generally remain on your device.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not upload your audio or transcript content to our servers without a clear action or consent from you. TransVoice itself does not send your audio, transcript text, or translated text to any third-party AI service.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on the features you use, we may process the following types of information:

  • Device and app information: such as device model, iOS version, app version, and build number for compatibility checks, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Audio, video, and transcript content: content you record, import, generate, or export is primarily stored locally unless you explicitly export, share, or send it to another app or service.
  • Purchase status information: if you buy or restore TransVoice Pro, the app may read the transaction status made available through Apple StoreKit in order to unlock features and restore entitlements.
  • Support communication information: when you email li4yuan@gmail.com, we receive the email address, message content, and attachments that you choose to provide.
  • Website request information: when you visit the website or support pages, your browser and hosting platform may generate standard request metadata such as IP address, access time, browser type, and requested path. This is typically created by the infrastructure for security, stability, and basic access logging.

3. On-Device Processing and Model Resources

Local-first processing is a core product principle.

  • Speech transcription uses Apple's official Speech framework and locally available language models.
  • Translation uses Apple's official Translation framework and local language resources downloaded through Apple's Translate app.
  • Speaker diarization uses on-device Core ML models for offline inference.

When the required resources are available on the device, audio analysis, transcript generation, translation, and speaker separation are intended to run locally whenever possible. If a language or feature requires missing resources, the app may guide you to download them through Apple's system flows. TransVoice does not automatically send your audio to our servers because a model is unavailable, and it does not send that content to third-party AI services. In some cases, Apple's Speech or Translation frameworks may communicate with Apple services as part of system-provided resource delivery or platform behavior; please refer to Apple's privacy documentation for those cases.

4. Permissions

To provide the product features, TransVoice may request the following system permissions:

  • Microphone permission: for live recording and live transcription.
  • Speech recognition permission: to convert recorded or imported audio into text.
  • Photos or Files access: to import existing audio and video.

If you deny a permission, the related feature may be unavailable or limited. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Third-Party AI Services and Data Sharing

TransVoice does not send your recordings, imported media, transcript text, translated text, or speaker diarization results to OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other third-party AI service for processing.

We do not use third-party AI APIs to provide the app's core transcription, translation, or speaker diarization features, and we do not upload that content to developer-operated servers for those core flows.

If Apple's system frameworks, resource checks, or model download flows communicate with Apple services in specific situations, that communication is part of Apple's platform behavior and does not mean TransVoice is sharing your content with a third-party AI service. Those cases are governed by Apple's own privacy terms and system behavior.

6. Export, Sharing, and Third-Party Apps

When you choose to export, use the system share sheet, or open content in another app, TransVoice creates the requested output and passes it to the destination you selected. After that point, the content is subject to the privacy practices of the third-party app, service, or platform involved.

We do not automatically sync, publish, or share your recordings or transcripts in the background.

7. Subscriptions, Lifetime Purchase, and Payment Information

TransVoice Pro monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, and lifetime purchases are processed through the Apple App Store.

  • Billing, renewals, cancellations, invoices, and refund policies are handled by Apple.
  • We do not directly receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or similar payment details.
  • The app may locally read purchase results and transaction status needed to unlock features, restore purchases, and display membership state.

To manage a subscription, use your Apple account subscription settings. To restore a purchase, use the in-app Restore Purchases action.

8. Diagnostics, Logs, and Analytics

Based on the product information currently available, TransVoice does not use third-party analytics by default for advertising or profiling.

To investigate issues, we may rely on:

  • Error descriptions, screenshots, screen recordings, or sample files that you choose to send us.
  • Crash reports or diagnostic reports provided by Apple or the operating system if you choose to share them.
  • Necessary local runtime logs used to identify where a feature failed. We do not intentionally upload your raw speech content to our own servers as part of diagnostics.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Recordings, imported media, transcripts, and exported files generally remain on your device until you delete, move, or remove them, or uninstall the app.
  • You can delete files, manage them in bulk, or move them into folders from within the app.
  • Support materials you send to us by email may remain in the email system for follow-up, troubleshooting, and reply history.

10. Children

TransVoice is intended for general users and is not primarily directed to children. If a minor uses the product, that use should happen under guardian guidance and with lawful authorization to record, transcribe, translate, or share the content involved.

We do not intentionally request age information or knowingly collect information that identifies a child.

11. International Use

TransVoice may be used across multiple languages and regions. If you access the app or website from different countries or regions, you understand that information may be processed within your region and through the infrastructure used to operate the service. We aim to respect applicable data protection and consumer protection requirements.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or support process updates. The latest version will be posted on the website. If the change is material, we may also highlight it in the app or support channels.
